Hope for Life Rescue on JackRabbit Road in VB has offered to take in the Maine Coon kitty. They are very hopeful of finding her an adopting family. Her owner is going to have all her shots updated so that her adopting family will not have any vet bills this year. He is also taking them all of her pedigree papers and full vet records. If anyone is interested, I hope they will contact Hope for Life and offer her a loving home.

Thanks for passing the word -
Dear HR Animal Lovers,
I've been asked to spread the word, asking for assistance for a soon-to-be homeless Maine Coon Kitty at a now-foreclosed horse farm across the street from me here in Blackwater. Her owner, Bob, is very concerned about her future. The kitty was his wife's loved cat but his wife died in an accident last fall and now he has lost the farm in the financial disaster. All the animals from the farm have found safe havens, except this last one who's been living with him up until this final foreclosure and eviction. At this point, even the owner has lost his home and is pretty much overwhelmed.
She is a beautiful, pedigreed, spayed female Maine Coon complete with all her pedigree papers and vet records. About 7 years old, she's been an inside only cat but she also likes watching the world from the screened porch. She has lived with other cats and dogs, mostly a small dog although other much larger dogs have passed through the house on their way to kennel and barn. Like most Maine Coon cats, she's friendly and playful (a bit timid on first meeting and if other cats are overpowering) and wants to be with her humans, very companionable. Very, very clean and a quiet, pleasant adult cat, Bob says.
He's going to be living in a travel trailer, temporarily I hope, and just can't take her along. (I forgot to ask her name!) He's been advised to take her to the SPCA but I'm hoping she can go straight to a loving adopter. I'm hoping someone will adopt or at least foster this girl until she gets a permanent home. I'd take her but my adopted dogs are serious kitty chasers (really their only terrible habit) and would make her miserable and change her trusting personality.
Please share and have anyone interested call Bob at 647-4542 or they can email me.
Thanks so much - this household has been through so much in the last six months I'd love to see this little part of it have a happy ending.

Callie-girl .... in desperate need of being helped by someone .... she is hiding out on the grounds of a NC government facility but her time there is extremely limited. Can anyone help her? She has probably never been vetted - who can know? She has a very sweet temperament, and NEEDS HELP NOW - please let me know asap, so I can pass the word to stop her from being taken to their kill-shelter. She can possibly be transported closer to the Tidewater area. THANKS!!
